In a press statement released by the National President of Youth Advancement Initiative, "Barrister Ikenga is known to be a good representative of youths who has been fighting for the interests of securing the best standard of governance in the country. "Barrister Ikenga represented millions of the youth and he actually did very well, so, why will some political leaders in this country be silencing him for airing his views?"
" It's quite disheartening that, the freedom of expression which was envisaged in section 39 of the grund norm of this country is no more guaranteed. The leaders of this country have denied us the constitutional rights to air out views and we will massively fight against any oppressor."
It is on this wise, that we call on the Inspector General of Police to obey court order restraining the police and DSS from effecting arrest of Barrister Ikenga. The arrest is grossly unconstitutional!
A High Court of Federal Capital Territory ordered the Police and the Department of State Security Service from arresting Barrister Ikenga on the 3rd day of June, 2020. The order of the court must be well adhered to, in order to safeguard the respect of the court and to preserve our very rights.
