YAI REACTS TO THE INHUMANE TREATMENT OF A 10 YEARS OLD BOY IN OSUN STATE

YAI REACTS TO THE INHUMANE TREATMENT OF A 10 YEAR OLD BOY IN OSUN STATE

The Osun State Chapter of the Youth Advancement Initiative condemns the ill-treatment of a  10year old boy
The movement state in a press release that

"The attention of the movement has been drawn to a degrading and inhumane treatment of a 10years old boy named Ayo by her very own mother in Fesojaye community, Owoade, along Ilesa road, Osun State. It was allegedly reported by Vanguard newspaper that the mother named ' _Iya Ayo'_ tied her son in sacks for four days for allegedly stealing and possessing evil spirit.

The Osun State Chapter of YAI, heartily condemns this act that is way too repugnant to natural and good conscience. What could the boy have done to warrant such barbaric treatment by her very own mother?

This is quite inhumane we must say. We however urgently demand that the police force should do everything humanly possible to make sure that the woman is brought to book so as to serve as deterrence to others that may want to dance in that same step.

The Youth Advancement Initiative, Osun State Chapter, on this very note urges everyone of us to please, abide by the true doctrines that were brought by the religions we claim to have accepted. We must not put our senses of reasoning under our foots on the basis of pretending to be holier than the scripture itself. A true understanding of the scriptures does not in anyway afford us the opportunity of being barbaric; a misunderstanding of the ditto misguides our senses.

This movement however, challenges us to be well detailed about the knowledge of what we claim to believe in so that our inactions and inactions will not reflect barbarism to the extent of being repugnant to what's obtained on a fair ground.
