The Young Advancement Initiative through her National President in person of Ambassador Ade Mario Emmanuel made a press release recently wherein the actions of NCDC were appreciated and on the equal measure, challenged with respect to the numbers of covid-19 patients that keep increasing massively every day.
In his press statement, Ambassador Ade Emmanuel noted that "as we are appreciating the fast responses of NCDC to cases their attention has been called to all over the country, we would not condone fraud in the number of cases reported so far."
He also noted that "so far the country has placed a ban on international traveling over the weeks and as such there has been no movement into and outside the country except in the case of the acclaimed Chinese doctors that came into the country on the visa of a reputable Chinese firm. If our country men did not leave this country for another place and with the level of regulations put in placed by the federal and states governments, we do not fear to say there is irregularities in the reported cases."
"A lot of public figures tested positive to the virus and has since recovered, the likes of Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo state who recovered shortly after testing positive, Governor Elrufai of Kaduna, a son of the former vice president of Nigeria Atiku Abubakar among others. They recovered after being cured with medicines unknown to Nigerians. The recent case of AIT Boss Raymond Dokpesi who tested positive and recovered within days as sparked controversies among Nigerians who are now having other perspective to the COVID-19 case in Nigeria. Shortly after he recovered , the AIT boss released a short video where he lay claims to have not know the difference between malaria and COVID-19 cases in Nigeria. Political affiliation should be set aside, Dokpesi will not have tried to play politics with his claims in the video owing to the fact that several video clips has surfaced online where we see how COVID-19 patients are protesting poor health care given to them(not understanding where a sick victim will have the strength to protest)." Amb. Ade Mario Emmanuel said.
The Young Advancement Initiative however, demand that the NCDC to come out clean and tell Nigerians which of malaria fever or Coronavirus they are treating as the case maybe." We also demand for a background checkup into the contact tracing NCDC claim to have been doing which is bringing confirmation of more cases across the country."
On the final note, Ambassador Ade Mario made reference to scriptural authority whereby he quoted the wordings of LUKE 8:17," FOR THERE IS NOTHING HIDDEN THAT WILL NOT BE DISCLOSED , AND NOTHING CONCEALED THAT WILL NOT BE KNOWN OR BROUGHT OUT INTO THE OPEN. "
"NCDC should not hide the truth from the citizens of Nigeria as they are responsible in making analysis of how they arrive at different cases in the country everyday overnight."
