FoaasuDecides2020: Omogoye Elizabeth Emerges, Becomes First Female President of the Union.

 A final student of Human Anatomy, Omogoye Elizabeth Oluwaseyi has been declared as the President-Elect of the National Body of the Federation of Oyan , Asi, Asaba Students' Union, National Headquarters.

In a Press Release signed by the Chairman of the Independent Students' Electoral Commission, Comrade Adewuyi Omotola Olaide, he said: "having carefully perused the provision of the Constitution of the National Body of Federation of Oyan, Asi, Asaba Students' Union, National Headquarters, as amended in 2020, and after having aligned with the provision of same, I hereby declare the following people as the winners of the following offices as a result of their respective unopposed and unchallenged candidacies;

CATEGORY A.

NEC:

1. OYUNDOYIN RACHEAL, VICE-PRESDENT (ACADEMIC)

2. ADENIRAN OMOLOLA, ASSISTANT GENERAL SECRETARY

3. OMOGOYE ELIZABETH PRESIDENT

4. ADEBAYO OPEYEMI, PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER II

CATEGORY B,

HOUSE OF SENATE:

1. OLUSOLA, DAMILARE E., SENATE PRESIDENT

2. OLADELE BUKOLA -NIL

3. OLAGUNJU ELIZABETH -NIL

"In line with the earlier position of carefully perusing the Constitution of the National Body of the Federation of Oyan, Asi, Asaba Students' Union, National Headquarters, as amended in 2020, I have not found anywhere in the said Constitution where it is mandatory to proceed to conducting proper election as a result of the unchallenged offices, it is this structure that necessitated the declaration of the aforementioned names as occupants of the aforementioned offices, considering the Independence of the ISEC to so decide. It is imperative to also hold that this will save us from unnecessary stress & expenditure even, when the aspirants will eventually emerge."

"Finally, I hereby urge the officers-elect to leverage on the paths earlier established and to the implement innovative ideas as promised during the Manifesto for the betterment of the Union."
